Your journey begins early with a morning pickup from your hotel in Moshi. You'll travel southwest through scenic landscapes on your way to Tarangire National Park, arriving in time for a mid-morning game drive. Tarangire is known for its ancient baobab trees, dramatic savannahs, and impressive herds of elephants, often spotted around the Tarangire River. After a picnic lunch in the park, your game drive continues in search of lions, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and colorful birdlife. Later in the afternoon, you’ll exit the park and head to a comfortable mid-range lodge in the nearby Karatu area, where you’ll enjoy dinner and overnight in the cooler highlands.

Ngorongoro Crater – Game Drive & Maasai Visit
Ngorongoro Crater – Game Drive & Maasai Visit
After an early breakfast, you’ll drive to the nearby Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a wildlife-rich caldera often called the "Eighth Wonder of the World." Here, you’ll enjoy a half-day game drive on the crater floor, home to the Big Five — lions, buffaloes, elephants, rhinos, and leopards — as well as hippos, wildebeest, and thousands of flamingos. You’ll stop for a picnic lunch at the Hippo Pool before ascending the crater wall. Before heading to Arusha, you’ll make a stop at a traditional Maasai village on the crater rim, where you’ll be welcomed with songs, dances, and a cultural tour to learn about their semi-nomadic lifestyle. From there, you’ll begin the return journey to Arusha, arriving by late afternoon and dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
