Dar es Salaam to Selous Game Reserve & Boat Safari

You will be picked up at your hotel or airport in Dar es Salaam and driven to Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve), a 4 to 5-hour drive. Enjoy the landscapes and features of the country while you are driving. You will arrive at the camp for a hot lunch, then enjoy a boat ride where you will be able to see crocodiles and hippos. You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Full-Day Game Drive

After breakfast at the lodge, enjoy a game drive inside the park with lunch boxes. You can expect to see a large number of animals, including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and hyenas, among others. You will also see a large variety of birds, as well as wonderful scenery with varied topography, including wetlands, dry grasslands, light acacia forests, and higher ground with vast views of far-off mountains. In the afternoon, you will enjoy your lunch and rest before proceeding with the game drive and spending the night at the lodge.

Bush Walk & Departure

After morning tea or coffee, you’ll depart the lodge and make your way around the reserve for an educational walking safari accompanied by an armed ranger. Then, you will head back to the lodge for a full breakfast. You will check out from the camp with your packed lunch, enjoy an en-route game drive, then drive to Dar es Salaam, a 5-hour drive, arriving in the late afternoon. Our driver will drop you off at the airport or any hotel in Dar es Salaam.
