Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your safari begins with a morning pick-up in Arusha, followed by a drive to Tarangire National Park. Known as the “home of elephants,” the park is famous for its massive baobab trees and large elephant herds. You will enjoy game drives spotting lions, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and over 500 bird species. In the evening, you will settle at a lodge or camp near the park.

After breakfast, you travel through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands toward Serengeti National Park. Game viewing begins as soon as you enter the Serengeti, with endless plains dotted with acacia trees and roaming wildlife. Central Serengeti is renowned for big cats, especially lions and cheetahs. Overnight will be at a lodge or tented camp in the heart of the park.

This day is dedicated to exploring the central Serengeti, a region that never disappoints. Morning and afternoon game drives give you the best chance to see lions on the hunt, elephants moving in herds, and possibly leopards resting in trees. The day offers perfect photography opportunities and a true feel of the Serengeti wilderness before overnighting again in central Serengeti.

After breakfast, your adventure continues northward. This region is especially famous during the Great Migration, where wildebeest and zebras cross the Mara River in dramatic scenes. Along the way, you will encounter predators following the herds and breathtaking views of the open plains. Overnight will be in northern Serengeti near the Mara River.

You spend the day exploring northern Serengeti, where wildlife action is at its peak. Depending on the season, you may witness river crossings, crocodiles hunting, and big cats waiting for their prey. Even outside migration, the area is rich with elephants, giraffes, hippos, and countless birdlife. Another night is spent in a camp or lodge in northern Serengeti.

Day 6

After breakfast, you drive back through the Serengeti with more game viewing en route. By afternoon, you descend into Ngorongoro Crater, often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” The crater floor hosts a dense population of wildlife, including the rare black rhino, hippos, and abundant predators. Overnight stay is at a lodge near the crater or in Karatu town.

Lake Eyasi – Hadzabe and Datoga Tribe to Arusha

Your final day takes you to Lake Eyasi for an immersive cultural experience. You will visit the Hadzabe, one of the last hunter-gatherer tribes in Africa, joining them on a morning hunting expedition. Later, meet the Datoga blacksmiths and learn about their traditional metalwork. In the afternoon, you return to Arusha, where your unforgettable 7-day safari ends.
