Start your journey bright and early with a convenient pickup from your accommodation in Windhoek. We’ll whisk you away for an exciting day ahead, beginning with a quick meeting at Chameleon Backpackers.

Embarking from Windhoek, our journey leads us northward to Etosha National Park, Namibia’s largest game reserve. We enjoy a light lunch on the road before entering the park marking the beginning of an exciting game drive – keep your camera ready!

As the day and game drive concludes, we reach our camp at Halali for a well-deserved rest.

All Etosha camps feature floodlit waterholes, providing extra opportunities for game viewing. With the nightfall, numerous species make appearances, and this particular waterhole is renowned for attracting elephants and the critically endangered black rhino. Don’t miss the chance to witness the nocturnal activity at this popular spot!

Day 2

Etosha

Rise and shine at the crack of dawn for an exhilarating early morning game drive. The early hours offer a front-row seat to nature’s show, making it a perfect time for anyone eager to witness these majestic predators in action. After an eventful morning, we return to camp for a light breakfast.

The remainder of the day is dedicated to exploring the captivating wilderness, including a stop at Namibia’s largest salt pan, the Etosha Pan.

As the sun begins to set, we exit the park in the west and make our way to our cozy accommodation where we will enjoy a delicious buffet dinner.

Day 3

Etosha to Swakopmund

Etosha to Swakopmund

After a hearty breakfast, we set out to the Skeleton Coast. Passing through Outjo, we head west into Damaraland, known for its stunning landscapes, pink granite boulders, and encounters with locals from the Himba, Herero, and Damara tribes.

A light picnic lunch under Namibia’s highest mountain, Brandberg, precedes our westward journey to the Skeleton Coast, famed for shipwrecks along its desolate shores. A stop at the Zeila wreck, south of Henties Bay, offers a unique photo opportunity.

As the day concludes, we reach Swakopmund. Nestled between the Namib Desert dunes and the Atlantic Ocean, Swakopmund boasts not only colonial German architecture but also a plethora of thrilling activities. From exhilarating sandboarding on the iconic dunes to enjoying delectable seafood at the oceanfront, Swakopmund promises a diverse and exciting experience. Your guide can offer recommendations for these unique experiences, ensuring a memorable stay in this coastal gem.

Day 4

Swakopmund to Sesriem

Swakopmund to Sesriem

This morning is yours to enjoy at your own pace, with a myriad of activities to choose from. Swakopmund, often hailed as the adventure capital of the desert, offers popular options like quad biking and sandboarding. The choice is yours.

Departing from Swakopmund at noon, our journey leads us to Solitaire, navigating through picturesque mountain passes. Along the way, we make a brief stop at the Tropic of Capricorn to stretch our legs and capture some photos.

Continuing through the captivating desert landscape, our journey takes us to the quaint town of Solitaire. Here, we can indulge in the famous apple pie that has earned this homestead its well-deserved reputation.

Arriving at our camp near Solitaire in the late afternoon, we have the opportunity to unwind and appreciate the vast open expanse. Tonight’s accommodation offers the added perks of a refreshing pool and bar.

Additional activities (extra cost): Sandboarding, Quad biking, Skydiving.

Day 5

A very early start to the day as we enter the Naukluft National Park at sunrise.

We drive into the desert past huge sand dunes and get to enjoy the spectacular colour contrasts created by morning shadows. We board open 4×4 vehicles and head deep into the desert to explore the Dead Vlei with its ancient thorn trees. We head back and make a stop at the famous Dune 45 (named as it is 45 km from Sesriem). Here there is an opportunity to climb the towering sand dune or you can sit in the shade and enjoy the scenery.

We end the day off with a visit to Sesriem Canyon and then head back to our comfortable accommodation for a welcome drink while taking in the sunset over the desert.

As we journey back to Windhoek, the landscape treats us to picturesque mountain views. The road takes us up and over Namibia’s central plateau, offering lovely mountain scenery. Our route includes passing through the small community at BűellsPort and the town of Rehoboth.

By mid-afternoon, we arrive in Windhoek, and your guide will drop you off at your accommodation within city limits.
