Mombasa to Tsavo west National Park

Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or residence in Mombasa. You’ll drive inland through Kenya’s countryside, enjoying scenic views of the coastal plains and local villages. After approximately 4–5 hours, you’ll arrive at Tsavo West National Park, famous for its volcanic landscapes, red elephants, and rich biodiversity.

A mid-morning game drive will welcome you into the wild as you make your way to the lodge. Check in, relax, and enjoy lunch before heading out on an exciting afternoon game drive. Highlights include the dramatic Shetani Lava Flows, the Poacher’s Lookout with panoramic views, and encounters with a variety of wildlife including lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and elephants.

Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and a peaceful night surrounded by the sounds of nature.

Exploring Tsavo West National Park

Start the day with an early morning game drive, a perfect time to spot predators and active wildlife. You’ll then visit Mzima Springs, a lush oasis in the park where crystal-clear water bubbles up from underground lava flows. Walk along nature trails and observe hippos, crocodiles, and colorful fish through an underwater viewing platform.

Return to the lodge for a late breakfast and enjoy some time at leisure. In the afternoon, embark on another game drive to explore new sections of the park. You may visit the Rhino Sanctuary, search for rare species like the fringe-eared oryx, or simply enjoy the dramatic scenery of the Chyulu Hills and savannah plains.
