Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha
You will have an early start on this final day of your safari. After a quick breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater floor at around 6:30 am. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera, spanning about 260 sq km with a depth of over 2,000 feet.
A 5–6-hour game drive on the crater floor will offer plenty of wildlife encounters, so keeping your camera ready is highly recommended. Expect to see African elephants, buffalos, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions in abundance. After enjoying a picnic lunch by the scenic hippo pool, you will begin the steep ascent back to the crater rim.
This marks the last stretch of your safari, with a four-hour drive remaining to Arusha. You will be dropped off in the evening at your preferred location in Arusha or be transferred to the airport.
