You’ll be picked up at 7:00 AM from your confirmed location in Dar es Salaam and begin the scenic drive to Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve). The journey takes you through rural villages and southern Tanzania’s picturesque landscapes.

Upon arrival, enjoy a thrilling game drive through one of Africa’s largest and most untouched parks. It is home to elephants, lions, leopards, wild dogs, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, and over 440 bird species.

In the late afternoon, experience a peaceful boat safari along the Rufiji River, with chances to spot hippos, crocodiles, and vibrant birdlife as the sun sets.

Nyerere National Park

Today, you will have breakfast at the camp and then start the full-day game drive. Nyerere Park boasts the largest concentration of wild animals and a rich collection of wildlife that is abundant and diverse. The fact that this park is new and largely less frequented by tourists means that the animals here tend to be less exposed to humans. A good number of big cats, such as lion, leopard, and cheetah, are to be found here, along with other large animals such as elephant, rhino, buffalo, giraffe, eland, zebra, wildebeest and other wildlife.
