Day 1

Zanzibar to Mikumi

Zanzibar to Mikumi

The driver will be there early in the morning to pick you up from your hotel in Zanzibar and transfer you to the ferry to catch your boat to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, the driver-guide will meet you and start the safari to Mikumi National Park, which will take about 6 hours. During your safari drive to the park, we will stop for lunch. Upon arrival at Mikumi National Park, you will enter the park and have a game drive until sunset. You will have dinner and spend the evening at Camp Bastian.

Rise early for an exhilarating morning game drive—when wildlife is most active. From majestic elephants and stealthy leopards to zebras and crocodiles basking in the golden light, Mikumi's magic truly comes alive. Midday brings a visit to a Maasai village, where you’ll gain insight into their traditions and way of life. In the afternoon, begin the scenic journey to Dar es Salaam, then board the final boat back to Zanzibar, ending your adventure with hearts and cameras full.
