Day 1

Zanzibar to Mikumi National Park

Zanzibar to Mikumi National Park

Early in the morning, the driver will pick you up from your hotel in Zanzibar and transfer you to the ferry to catch your boat to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, your driver-guide will meet you and begin the journey to Mikumi National Park, which takes about six hours. During the drive to the park, you will stop for lunch. On arrival at Mikumi National Park, you will enter the park and enjoy a game drive until sunset. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at Camp Bastian Mikumi.

Mikumi National Park to Zanzibar

Rise early for an exhilarating morning game drive, when wildlife is most active. From majestic elephant and stealthy leopard to zebra and crocodile basking in the golden light, Mikumi's magic truly comes alive. At midday, you will visit a Maasai village, where you will gain insight into their traditions and way of life. In the afternoon, you will begin the scenic journey to Dar es Salaam and then board the final boat back to Zanzibar, ending your adventure with hearts and cameras full.
