Formed by a volcanic collapse millions of years ago, the 260 km² crater hosts one of Africa’s densest populations of large mammals, including wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and the rare black rhino, along with over 500 bird species. Serengeti National Park to Karatu

The Serengeti is a breathtaking destination, renowned for its endless plains that offer exceptional wildlife viewing. Its untouched climate and vegetation have remained unchanged for millions of years. While the park is home to a rich variety of animals, it’s most famous for the Great Migration, massive herds of wildebeest, along with zebra and antelope, moving in search of fresh pasture. The key is knowing the best locations to witness the migration during each season. Alongside these dramatic scenes, you’re likely to spot top predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards. In the afternoon, you’ll begin your return drive to Karatu, with more wildlife sightings along the way.

Main Destination:
Serengeti National Park
Best Time To Visit January to February and June to October (Different areas are best at different times)
High Season July to March (The Seronera area is crowded)

Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

After breakfast, you’ll head to Lake Manyara National Park, a small yet incredibly diverse park located 120 km west of Arusha. Despite its narrow width, the park feels vast, with the dramatic Great Rift Escarpment rising above the lake’s edge. The shallow, seasonal salt lake attracts thousands of wading birds, including flamingos and over 500 bird species. You might encounter baboons and elephants in the lush forest and even catch sight of the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. After a picnic lunch and game drive, your guide will drop you off at your preferred location Arusha, Kilimanjaro Airport, or Arusha Airport. We hope your Highneck adventure will be unforgettable!
