Nairobi – Masai Mara (Great Rift Valley Stop & Afternoon Game Drive)

Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive southwest toward the Masai Mara National Reserve. En route, stop at a scenic Great Rift Valley viewpoint to admire panoramic views of the escarpment and valley floor below—an ideal photo opportunity and introduction to Kenya’s dramatic landscapes.

Continue through Maasai countryside, arriving at your safari lodge or tented camp in time for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive across the Mara’s golden plains, home to the Big Five, large elephant herds, and an abundance of predators.

Full Day in Amboseli (Morning & Afternoon Game Drives + Observation Hill)

Spend the day exploring Amboseli National Park, famed for its elephant herds and postcard-perfect views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Begin with a morning game drive, when animals are most active—look out for lions, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes, and diverse birdlife.

Return to Oilepo Amboseli Lodge for a relaxed lunch and some downtime by the waterhole, where wildlife often visits to drink.

In the afternoon, set out on another thrilling game drive, this time including a stop at Observation Hill. From this panoramic viewpoint, enjoy sweeping vistas of the park, marshes, and grazing wildlife below—perfect for photography.
