Day two begins with an early breakfast before setting out on a full-day game drive across the vast and varied landscapes of Akagera National Park. With an experienced guide, you’ll explore the park’s diverse ecosystems—from open savannahs and woodlands to swampy lowlands—searching for the Big Five and many other species including giraffes, zebras, warthogs, hippos, and countless antelope. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park at one of the scenic viewpoints, where you can relax and take in the beauty of the surroundings. In the afternoon, head to Lake Ihema for a boat safari, offering a peaceful yet thrilling experience on the water.
