Day 1

You'll depart from Arusha in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park, where you will discover the true enormity of the deserted termite mounds and historic baobab trees. The giant herds of African elephants dominate the golden savannah, and the screeching flocks of the striking yellow-collared lovebird may be heard from miles away. The flora and fauna that roam the scenic landscape of the Tarangire include lions, giraffes, warthogs, ostriches, impalas, cheetahs, mongooses, buffaloes, and baboons. You will spend your first night at the comprehensive tenting centres they provide. There could be a tantalising dinner served during the night.

Day 2

Mto wa Mbu - Serengeti Plains

After breakfast we head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa the Serengeti National Park with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park. Dinner and overnight as per the standard and type of accommodation booked on trip.

Day 3

Non game-viewing travel time: 4 hours Distance: 145 km.
After After breakfast, depart the Serengeti and head towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy a game drive en route, allowing for additional wildlife sightings in the Serengeti before reaching the Ngorongoro Crater. Upon arrival at the rim of the crater, take in the breathtaking views of this natural wonder. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an afternoon game drive, where you'll have the chance to spot the Big Five and other wildlife within the crater's enclosed ecosystem. Overnight stay in a lodge or tented camp near the Ngorongoro Crater.

Start the day with an early morning game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, taking advantage of the prime wildlife viewing opportunities. Witness the interactions of predators and prey, marvel at the abundance of wildlife, and capture memorable photographs. After the game drive, begin your journey back to Arusha, with a stop at a Maasai village along the way, if desired. Arrive in Arusha by late afternoon, marking the end of your 4-day Tanzania Safari in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro safari.
