Though the drive is long, the scenery along the way is nothing short of breathtaking—a truly unforgettable experience, especially for first-time visitors. As you venture deeper into the Serengeti, you'll quickly understand why its name means "endless plains" in the local language.

Covering an astonishing 18,000 square kilometers (6,900 square miles), the Serengeti offers sweeping vistas that seem to stretch endlessly to the horizon. It's the stage for the legendary Great Migration, home to over two million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and countless antelopes. The park is also a prime habitat for Africa’s iconic predators—lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas—with many famous wildlife documentaries filmed right here.

After an exhilarating day of game viewing, you'll settle in for an overnight stay in the heart of the Serengeti.

Its lush floor supports an incredible range of animals, including wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, eland, warthogs, hippos, and the majestic African elephant.

Ngorongoro is also renowned for its dense predator population—lions, hyenas, jackals, and cheetahs roam the area, and if you're lucky, you might even spot the elusive leopard. The crater's lakes and wetlands attract a variety of waterbirds, including flocks of flamingos and pods of hippos.
