As we delve into the Serengeti, you'll instantly understand why its name means 'endless plains' in Swahili; its 6,900 sq. miles stretch to the horizon, defying your perception of distance. This is the epicentre of the Great Migration, home to two million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and countless antelopes. For Big Cats and predators, it's the ultimate destination to seek out lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas, often mirroring iconic television scenes of river crossings. Today begins with a suggested very early wake-up for a thrilling morning game drive – the optimal time to spot active animals and witness one of the best sunrises you'll ever experience! After our drive, we'll return to camp for a well-deserved, rewarding brunch. Then, we'll journey to the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, truly the 8th Wonder of the Natural World! This vast crater, spanning 102 sq. miles with 2,000 ft high walls, acts as a virtual "Noah's Ark," harboring almost every indigenous East African wildlife species. It's one of the continent's very rare locations where you can witness the critically endangered Black Rhino. The crater's diverse landscape includes a river, swamps, a soda lake (teeming with flamingos), a forest, and open plains. It's also famous for its remarkably large elephants boasting huge tusks. We'll reach Ngorongoro in time for a spectacular sundowner, with the option to downgrade or upgrade your accommodation level.

Today begins with a very early start as we descend into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for an incredible morning of wildlife viewing in one of Earth's most stunning places! After our thrilling game drive, we'll enjoy a picturesque picnic lunch near the beautiful Hippo Lake. Following lunch, we'll have time for a final short game drive before ascending the crater and exiting the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards Arusha. We anticipate being back in Arusha around 5 PM, though we're flexible to accommodate or other situations you may have.
