Day 2

In the afternoon, you'll enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, watching hippos wallow in the water, crocodiles basking on the banks, and a stunning array of water birds. Rise early for a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience. After a briefing with park rangers, you'll trek through lush, misty forest in search of a gorilla family. The trek may last 2–6 hours, depending on their location, but every step brings excitement. Finally, you'll spend an unforgettable hour observing the gentle giants in their natural habitat—playing, eating, and interacting with one another. In the afternoon, optional visits to a Batwa community provide insight into the local forest-dwelling culture. You'll return to your lodge to share stories of your incredible day.

Return to Kigali (Rwanda) or Entebbe – Farewell Uganda
Return to Kigali (Rwanda) or Entebbe – Farewell Uganda
After breakfast, you'll begin your journey back. If flying out of Kigali, cross the border into Rwanda, stopping for scenic photos along the way. Optional short city tours allow you to explore Kigali’s craft markets or the moving Genocide Memorial before departure. If returning to Entebbe, you will enjoy the scenic drive back through Uganda’s rolling hills. Your safari ends with treasured memories of wildlife, primates, and the warm hospitality of Uganda.
