Day 1

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by your professional driver-guide from Armadillo Adventures. After a short briefing, you will be transferred to Kahawa House, one of Arusha’s finest boutique accommodations nestled on the outskirts of the city.

Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a leisurely afternoon, relax in the beautiful tropical gardens, or take a short optional tour of Arusha town. The lodge offers stunning views of Mount Meru and provides a peaceful setting for you to unwind after your international journey. Dinner will be served at the lodge’s cozy restaurant, featuring a mix of continental and local dishes prepared with fresh, organic ingredients. Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast at Kahawa House, your driver-guide will pick you up and begin your journey southwest toward Tarangire National Park, a scenic drive of approximately two hours. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a full-day game drive through this stunning park, famous for its vast herds of elephants, ancient baobab trees, and seasonal swamps.

Tarangire offers exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities, particularly during the dry season when animals concentrate around the Tarangire River. You may encounter lions, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and over 500 bird species. A delicious picnic lunch will be served at a designated site within the park, offering panoramic views of the savannah. In the late afternoon, you will exit the park and drive to Kitela Lodge, nestled on the escarpment overlooking a coffee plantation in Karatu. Dinner and overnight stay at Kitela Lodge, a charming property with beautifully landscaped gardens and excellent hospitality.

After an early breakfast at Kitela Lodge, you will depart for Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. The drive will take you through scenic landscapes, including the lush highlands of Karatu and the vast plains surrounding the park. Upon arrival at the Serengeti gate, you will enter the park for an afternoon game drive.

The Serengeti is renowned for its extraordinary biodiversity, including the Big Five lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino and the annual wildebeest migration, if in season. Your experienced guide will track wildlife and share insightful information about the ecosystem. You will then proceed to your luxury camp or lodge inside the Serengeti, where a sumptuous dinner awaits you. Enjoy the peaceful sounds of the African wilderness before retiring for the night in comfort and elegance.

Serengeti National Park to Karatu

After an early breakfast at your Serengeti lodge, you will embark on a scenic drive southward toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This journey offers breathtaking views of the Serengeti plains giving way to the lush highlands around the crater.

Upon arrival at the Ngorongoro Crater rim, your guide will provide a briefing before descending into the crater for an afternoon game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its dense concentration of wildlife, including the rare black rhino, lions, elephants, and large buffalo herds. The unique crater environment allows for exceptional animal sightings in a spectacular setting. Late afternoon, you will drive to your lodge in the nearby highlands for dinner and a restful overnight stay, enjoying the cool climate and stunning vistas.

Late evening you will drive from Crater to Karatu for your accommodation's and overnight.

Following breakfast at your lodge near Ngorongoro, you will depart for Lake Manyara National Park, located about two hours away. Upon arrival, embark on a game drive through this diverse and scenic park, famous for its tree-climbing lions, large flocks of flamingos, and diverse birdlife.

The park’s varied ecosystems include acacia woodlands, grassy plains, and the alkaline Lake Manyara, creating a vibrant habitat for elephants, hippos, baboons, and impalas. After a rewarding morning game drive, you will begin the journey back to Arusha, approximately three hours’ drive. Upon arrival, you may relax at your hotel or explore the town’s markets and cultural sites. Dinner arrangements can be made on request. This concludes your memorable safari adventure through northern Tanzania’s premier wildlife destinations.
