Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

From the airport or your lodge in Nairobi, transfer to Wilson Airport for the scheduled flight to the Masai Mara National Reserve. The short journey offers sweeping aerial views of the Great Rift Valley and rolling savannahs. Arrive mid‑morning and transfer to camp, followed by a short rest as you wait to start a mid-morning game drive. Have a picnic lunch as you set out on your afternoon game drive across the Mara’s vast plains, where elephants, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes roam freely. The reserve is also famed for its predators, lions, cheetahs, and leopards, and during the great migration, immense herds of wildebeest and zebras. Return at sunset for dinner and overnight, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 2 begins with an early start at your lodge or camp before heading out for a full-day game drive across the breathtaking Masai Mara. As the sun rises, the savannah comes alive with activity. This is prime time to spot predators like lions, cheetahs, and possibly leopards on the hunt. After breakfast at the lodge, we drive you across diverse landscapes, from open grasslands to riverine forests, increasing your chances of seeing the Big Five - lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino - along with giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and numerous bird species.

A scenic picnic lunch in the wild provides a unique and peaceful experience. The afternoon drive offers more wildlife sightings, including elephants at waterholes and lions resting in the shade. As the sun sets, return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation under the stars, reflecting on a truly unforgettable safari experience.

Full Day Game Drive

Awake to the sounds of the savannah and set out for a morning game drive across the Masai Mara, exploring its rolling plains and riverine forests. Spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, and perhaps predators returning from the night’s hunt. Return to camp for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, visit a traditional Maasai village, where you’ll be welcomed with song and dance, learn about their customs, and gain insight into their pastoral way of life. This cultural encounter offers a deeper connection to the land and its people. Later, return to camp for dinner and overnight, with the evening spent reflecting on both wildlife and culture.
