Arrival at Masai Mara National Reserve

After you touch down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, your friendly driver-guide will be waiting to welcome you with a smile. After a short briefing, your safari will begin. Settle into your 4x4 Land Cruiser and enjoy a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley, with sweeping views and photo stops along the way.

By midday, you will arrive at the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve and check in at the charming Tipilikwani Mara Camp, nestled along the Talek River. After a delicious lunch and some relaxation, head out at 4:00pm for your first thrilling game drive. As the sun dips over the golden savanna, keep your camera ready – this is prime time to spot elephant, lion, giraffe and perhaps even a leopard.

Return to camp by early evening to a warm welcome, enjoy a hearty dinner under the African sky and fall asleep to the sounds of the wild.

Game Drive at Masai Mara National Reserve

Wake up to the call of the wild and enjoy an early breakfast before heading out for a full day of adventure in Kenya's most iconic reserve. The Masai Mara is world-renowned for its incredible concentration of wildlife – today is your chance to track the Big Five and countless other species across endless rolling savanna!

Your driver-guide will take you to prime wildlife areas where cheetahs stalk the plains, herds of wildebeest and zebras stretch to the horizon, and hippos wallow in the Mara River. A picnic lunch in the heart of the reserve means you will not miss a moment of the action.

In the early morning, you may choose an optional hot-air balloon safari for a bird's-eye view of the Mara (at an additional cost) or visit a Maasai cultural village to learn about their traditions and way of life.

As the sun sets, return to Tipilikwani Mara Camp for dinner and another magical evening in the wild.

Departure to Nairobi

Start the day with an early morning game drive – a golden opportunity to spot predators returning from a night of hunting or to catch a glimpse of the elusive leopard. After breakfast back at the camp, say farewell to the Mara as you check out.

Enjoy a relaxed drive back through the Great Rift Valley, with a stop along the way for a scenic break, before arriving in Nairobi in the afternoon. Your guide will drop you at your hotel or at the airport in time for your onward journey, carrying with you unforgettable memories of the Masai Mara.
