Ndutu to Ngorongoro Crater – Game Drive & Departure
This morning, rise early for a final breakfast in the bush before departing on a scenic drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend 600 meters into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, often described as the "eighth wonder of the world." This ancient volcanic caldera is home to an astonishing concentration of wildlife, including elephants, hippos, lions, spotted hyenas, and – with luck – the elusive black rhino.
Spend the morning on a game drive across the crater floor, passing through open grasslands, swamps, acacia forests, and the salt lake at its center.
