Your driver-guide will meet you either in Arusha or upon arrival at Arusha Airport, and from there, you'll begin your journey to Tarangire National Park. The park takes its name from the Tarangire River, which flows through the area and serves as the main source of water for wildlife. Renowned for its large elephant population, rich birdlife, and authentic safari atmosphere, Tarangire offers a truly immersive experience. You’ll enjoy a packed lunch during the day, and following an afternoon game drive, you’ll head to your lodge in the scenic Marera Valley.

The crater is home to the legendary Big Five, including the elusive black rhino, and teems with hyenas, zebras, elephants, buffalos, and more making for an unforgettable safari experience.

After a restful night, today brings the chance to encounter one of Africa’s most iconic predators it’s “lion day.” Enjoy an early breakfast before checking out and heading to Lake Manyara National Park. Covering approximately 330 km², with around 200 km² submerged when the lake is full, the park is a haven for wildlife and bird enthusiasts alike. From vast flocks of pink flamingos stretching across the water to close encounters with majestic bull elephants, Lake Manyara offers a rich display of nature’s beauty. A unique highlight of this park is its rare tree-climbing lions, a truly remarkable sight.

After exploring the park’s lush groundwater forests and open plains, you’ll begin your journey back to Arusha in the mid-afternoon. As you return to where your adventure began, your heart and your camera will be filled with unforgettable memories from your African safari.
