Arusha/Jro Airport – Tarangire

Your safari begins with a morning departure from Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), followed by a scenic journey to Tarangire National Park. Known for its ancient baobab trees and impressive elephant herds, Tarangire offers a wonderful introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife and landscapes.

Enjoy a game drive through the park, with opportunities to spot giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, lions, leopards and many other species drawn to the Tarangire River and surrounding plains. Take a break for a picnic lunch in a scenic setting before continuing your exploration.

Later in the afternoon, leave the park and continue to your comfortable mid-range accommodation in the Karatu area for dinner and an overnight stay, ready for tomorrow’s Lake Manyara adventure.

Lake Manyara – Arusha/Jro Airport

After breakfast, continue to Lake Manyara National Park for your final game drive. Despite its compact size, the park offers remarkably diverse scenery, from lush groundwater forests and open grasslands to the shores of the alkaline lake.

Keep watch for large elephant herds, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes and an impressive variety of birdlife. With some luck, you may also spot Lake Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions resting high above the ground.

Enjoy the final moments of your safari surrounded by beautiful landscapes and wildlife before departing for Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), bringing your two-day adventure to a memorable end.
