3-Day Safari in Tarangire & Ngorongoro from Zanzibar

Arrival in Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu

Upon arrival at Arusha Airport at 9:00 AM from Zanzibar, you will meet your safari guide for a short briefing before departing at 9:30 AM for a scenic two-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Arriving around 11:30 AM, you will embark on a game drive through landscapes dotted with giant baobab trees and home to large herds of elephants, lions, giraffes, and abundant birdlife. At 1:00 PM, enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the Tarangire River before continuing your wildlife exploration until 4:30 PM. You will then leave the park for a two-hour drive to Karatu, arriving around 6:30 PM for dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.

Ngorongoro Crater- A Dream Destination

After an early breakfast, depart Karatu at 6:30 AM for a short drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, descending into the crater by 7:30 AM for a full-day game drive in one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife havens. The crater’s lush grasslands, swamps, and forests support an incredible diversity of animals, including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, and the rare black rhino, while flamingos and pelicans gather on the lake’s shores. At 1:00 PM, enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the crater before continuing your exploration in search of the Big Five and other unique species. Around 3:30 PM, begin your ascent from the crater and drive back to Karatu, arriving by 5:00 PM for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Manyara Visit - Drive Back to Arusha

After breakfast, depart Karatu at 7:30 AM for the short drive to Lake Manyara National Park, arriving by 8:00 AM to begin a game drive through its diverse landscapes, from groundwater forests and open savannah to the sparkling lake itself. Keep watch for tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, elephants, and flocks of flamingos along the shoreline. At 1:00 PM, enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic viewpoint inside the park before continuing your wildlife exploration until 3:00 PM. You will then exit the park and drive back to Arusha Airport marking it the end of our safari.
