Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport in the morning, your private safari guide will greet you with a warm Ugandan welcome. From Entebbe, you’ll begin your journey toward western Uganda with a scenic drive that offers a mix of culture and natural beauty. A few hours into the drive, you’ll stop at the Uganda Equator monument in Kayabwe. Here, you’ll take iconic photos at the equator line, observe water demonstrations that show the Coriolis effect, and browse local craft stalls for handmade souvenirs.
After this engaging stop, the journey continues through rolling countryside, tea plantations, and the lush landscapes of the Tooro region. In the late afternoon, you’ll arrive near Kibale Forest National Park home to one of the largest populations of wild chimpanzees in Africa. You’ll check into Chimpanzee Capital Safari Lodge, a quiet retreat just outside the forest, where you’ll have dinner and a restful evening preparing for your first primate encounter the next morning.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the Kibale Forest Park headquarters for a briefing and to meet your ranger guides. You’ll then set out into the forest to track one of the most well-studied and habituated chimpanzee families in East Africa. The trek through the forest is scenic and alive with bird calls, butterflies, and other primates like red colobus and L’Hoest’s monkeys. Once you locate the chimps, you’ll spend a fascinating hour observing their social behavior watching them swing from branches, groom one another, and communicate through hoots and calls.
After the trek, you’ll return to the lodge for lunch and check out. In the early afternoon, you’ll drive south toward Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through the scenic crater lakes region and the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at the park and check at Kazinga Wildernesssafari lodge located near the Kazinga Channel. Enjoy a relaxed evening and dinner.

Day 3

The day begins with a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This part of the park is known for its lions, large herds of Uganda kob, elephants, and buffalo. If you're lucky, you may even spot a leopard lounging in the trees or hyenas returning from their night time prowls. Later you’ll embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel blessed with high concentrations of hippos and many birdlife species. The cruise offers fantastic photography opportunities and a relaxed way to see lots of stunning wildlife like elephants, crocodiles, and buffalo from a new perspective. After awesome experience, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You’ll arrive in the Buhoma sector of Bwindi in the early evening and check in at Buhoma Community Rest Camp, a charming, locally run lodge perched on the edge of the forest. Dinner will be served at the camp, and you’ll have time to unwind ahead of your ultimate primate experience.

Day 4

Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Kigali, Rwanda
You’ll rise before dawn today for an early breakfast, then head to the Bwindi Park offices for a safety briefing and group allocation. You’ll be assigned a gorilla family group and set off into the jungle with experienced trackers and guides. The trek can take anywhere from one to five hours depending on the location of the gorillas, but the reward is exceptional. Once you find them, you’ll spend a powerful hour in their presence watching a silverback lead his family, juveniles tumble through vines, and mothers tenderly care for their infants. It's an unforgettable encounter that leaves a lasting emotional imprint.
After the trek, you’ll return to the lodge for lunch and freshening up. In the early afternoon, your guide will drive you across the Uganda Rwanda border and onward to Kigali, Rwanda’s clean and vibrant capital. Depending on your flight time, there may be a chance for a brief city stop or coffee break before drop-off at Kigali International Airport in the evening.
