You will begin with an early morning transfer to Aberdare National Park, enjoying a scenic drive through Kenya’s central highlands. Along the way, stop to admire sprawling tea and coffee plantations, and visit Karatina—the largest open-air market in East Africa—to experience its vibrant local culture. Aberdare National Park boasts diverse wildlife, including elephants, black rhinos, leopards, spotted hyenas, olive baboons, black-and-white colobus monkeys, buffalos, warthogs, and bushbucks. With some luck, you might spot rarer species, such as the giant forest hog, bongo, golden cat, serval, African wildcat, African civet, or the elusive blue duiker. Dinner and an overnight stay are at the lodge.
