Your journey begins with an early morning pick-up from Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport. The scenic drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands passes through rolling farmland and small villages, with an optional stop at the Karatu craft market to browse handmade souvenirs and artwork. Upon arrival, you’ll check into your lodge and enjoy the fresh mountain air and stunning views over the highlands.

Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha / Kilimanjaro International Airport

After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. The crater floor is a haven for wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, and a chance to see the rare black rhino. The diverse habitats — from grasslands and swamps to forests and lakes — ensure incredible sightings throughout the day.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the crater before continuing your game drive. In the late afternoon, ascend the crater walls and begin the drive back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport, arriving in the evening with unforgettable memories of one of Africa’s greatest natural wonders.
