Arrival and first safari

05:30 – 06:30: Pick-up from Johannesburg in an air-conditioned vehicle for a 2 to 2.5-hour ride with a quick comfort stop.

09:00: Set out on a 3-hour morning game drive. Search for the Big Five, led by our highly sought-after expert guides who know the bush like the back of their hand.

12:00: Arrive at Tlou Camp and check in. Chill by the pool or nap in your tent.

16:00 – 19:00: Go on a sunset safari during golden hour for some incredible sightings. Return for dinner in the boma under the stars.

16:00 –19:30: Sunset safari round 2 includes a special nighttime viewing. On your return, a campfire dinner awaits. Enjoy a braai, bobotie, hearty stews and more.

Option 1:

05:30: Go on another 3-hour sunrise game drive, and trust us, it never gets old. Track wildlife with expert guides and return by 8:30 for breakfast.

Morning to afternoon: Choose your own pace. You can relax at the camp or the boma, or join a ranger-led nature walk (included, subject to availability).

16:00 –19:30: Head out on a sunset game drive in top-quality open vehicles, ending with a 30-minute spotlight session for a closer look at nocturnal wildlife. Return to camp for a final African-style dinner.

Included: Breakfast and dinner.

Option 2:

09:00 - 15:00: Enjoy a relaxed start to the day before heading out on a full-day safari in premium open vehicles. Guided by our top rangers in radio contact, this 6-hour adventure offers excellent opportunities to spot wildlife, including the Big Five. You’ll return to Tlou Tented Safari Camp to unwind before dinner.

Farewell to the wild

05:30: Your final sunrise game drive for one last chance to spot the wild legends of Pilanesberg. Return around 8:30 for breakfast.

Morning: Cool down in the pool, relax on your deck, or soak in your final safari moments. An optional ranger-led bushwalk is also an option (subject to availability).

12:00: Enjoy a short game drive in a closed vehicle or opt instead to relax at the camp. Pick-up is at 14:30 if you opt out of the drive.

15:00: Depart camp in SafariLinkSA’s transfer vehicle with a comfort stop en route.

17:30 –18:30: Arrive back in Johannesburg. If you require a 18:00 airport drop-off, please provide your flight details to our team.
