As you approach the Delta’s edge, your final approach to camp may include a tranquil mokoro ride or boat transfer, depending on water levels. Upon arrival at Ditshipi, your mobile camp will be set up and waiting, nestled in a peaceful riverside grove. After settling in, enjoy sundowners and a freshly prepared bush dinner under the stars — your first taste of life in the wild.

Mokoro & Walking Safari in the Delta

Rise early to the sound of birdsong and the distant grunting of hippos. After a light breakfast, you’ll set off on a mokoro excursion, gliding silently through the winding Delta channels with local polers. You’ll stop on nearby islands to explore the area on foot, guided by an experienced tracker who will share insights into animal behaviour, plant life, and the delicate balance of this ecosystem. After returning to camp for lunch and rest, your afternoon is open for more relaxed exploration — a shorter mokoro ride, birdwatching, or simply enjoying the quiet beauty of your surroundings. In the evening, gather around the campfire to share stories and enjoy a hearty dinner.

You’ll enjoy a bush picnic lunch under a shaded tree before continuing on toward the Khwai Community Concession. Upon arrival, your second camp will be ready for you along the Khwai River, where you can settle in, refresh, and enjoy a quiet dinner to the sound of crickets and flowing water.

As night falls, return to camp for a warm meal and the comforts of your cozy tent, surrounded by wilderness.
