Prison Island Tour & Stone Town Exploration

Morning: Prison Island
Start with a 25-minute boat ride from Stone Town to Prison Island. Originally a prison and then a quarantine station, the island is now home to a sanctuary for giant Aldabra tortoises, some of whom are over a century old. You can get up close and even feed these incredible creatures.

Afternoon: Stone Town
After a recommended rooftop lunch back in Stone Town, spend the afternoon exploring this UNESCO World Heritage site. Get lost in the narrow, winding alleys and see the unique architecture that blends Swahili, Arab, Indian, and European styles. Highlights include the Old Fort, the House of Wonders, and the Anglican Cathedral.

Evening: Forodhani Night Market
The tour wraps up at the Forodhani Night Market. Here, you can immerse yourself in local culture and try some of the island's famous street food, like fresh seafood and "Zanzibar pizza."

Dolphin Tour

Your final day starts early, as you'll head out on a boat for a dolphin encounter—the best time to see them is in the early morning when they're most active. While sightings aren't guaranteed, they're highly likely. You'll get to watch the dolphins from the boat, and if conditions are right, you can even get in the water to swim near them.
In the early afternoon, you will stop for snorkeling, where you can explore vibrant coral reefs filled with colorful fish. The tour is a half-day activity, so you'll be back on shore by midday. You can then relax and enjoy a fresh seafood lunch at a beachside restaurant.
In the evening, you'll cap off your trip with a relaxing sunset dhow cruise. A dhow is a traditional wooden sailing boat that will take you along the coast as the sun sets. Enjoy snacks, drinks, and traditional music as you watch the sky fill with beautiful colors.
