The crater is the largest uninterrupted caldera in the world and one of Africa’s true natural wonders. Home to around 30,000 large mammals year-round—including buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and the rare black rhino—it also hosts a remarkable variety of birdlife such as flamingos, eagles, and buzzards. With its dense wildlife population, you can expect to encounter an incredible number of animals within just a short time.
