After an early breakfast, depart from Marera Valley Lodge and drive toward the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, often called the Eighth Wonder of the World. As you descend over 600 meters into the crater, you’ll be greeted by breathtaking views of the vast caldera and the incredible concentration of wildlife that calls it home.
Spend the day exploring the crater floor on a full-day game drive, where you’ll have the opportunity to spot the Big Five — lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and the rare black rhino — along with countless zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and colorful bird species. The crater’s lush landscape and freshwater lakes make it one of the best safari destinations in Africa.
