Breakfast at the hotel. Destination to Tulear. Meet your driver at the airport. Drive to Ifaty. Ifaty brings together the small Malagasy seaside villages along Ranobe Bay in the south-west region. It is located about thirty kilometers north of Toliara, on national road 9 (RN9). The village of Ifaty is also a fishing village made up mainly of Vezo and Masikoro People.

Half day for sea excursions. You can admire the different colors of the sea with the aquatic activities offered by the hotel.
Possible activities offer by Ankasy Lodge:
Water activities: water skiing, towed buoy, hobby cat catamaran, mask and snorkel, diving, traditional canoe ride, kite surfing, speedboat excursions, humpback whale watching in season (July July September, see conditions on site).
Land activities: quad or jeep excursions to the typical vezo village of Tsiandamba, massages, botanical trail, beach volleyball, pétanque, kite flying, archery and pellet rifle, board games, reading. After the excursion, return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Departure around 6:00 am for Andavadoaka, crossing the magnificent beach, where the Great Barrier Reef of Madagascar begins to disappear. Along the way, the fishing villages will attract your curiosity and the characteristic tombs and funerary art that make them original. On the way, you will cross the forest of dwarf baobabs, then the forest of Mikéa (ancestral people of the region) before following magnificent sand for several kilometers. Arrival at Andavadoaka, installation at your hotel.

This is the longest stage with a day of sand, dirt and rock. Departure early in the morning around 6:00 am, before crossing the town of Morombe, on the program the visit of the forest of dwarf baobabs and the largest baobab in Madagascar. Continuation by a sandy track, you will cross the Mangoky river by ferry, it is essential of our circuit. There is only one hotel and it is not very comfortable in Manja (compared to other hotels on the tour). We will only have this option for this step.

Manja - Morondava

Long drive to Morondava the capital of the Sakalava people. Morondava is located in the west of the country. It is located on the national road No; 35 about 700 km from Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar. The population of Morondava has tripled in the space of fifty years and counts approximately 72,000 inhabitants. Morondava is populated mainly by the Sakalava and Vezo people as well as a notable Indo-Pakistani colony, arrived at the time of French colonization and paid into the trade, by a few descendants of mixed Chinese and European races, and since the independence of a colony of the Comorians. Its name means in the Malagasy language "the large beach" as a contraction of "morona lava".
Economically, fishing is the main activity of the region, especially shellfish. Morondava is also a shipyard with a mechanical workshop. Around the city, rice, corn, cassava and cotton are grown; sugar (by the Chinese) and zebus are raised.

Breakfast in the morning and departure by 4X4 car for Bekopaka. After crossing the Tsiribihina River by ferry. Lunch at Belo Sur Tsiribihina included. Check-in in Bekopaka in the early evening. In arrival you Will admire the landscape of gorge of Manambolo river.

Breakfast at hotel and 2hours visit to small tsingy with traditional canoe. Chance on Decken`s sifaka, red-fronted brown lemur, crested coua, Madagascar green pigeon, heron, Madagascar fish eagle, Madagascar harrier hawk, Madagascar pigmy kingfisher, Madagascar magpie-robin, crested drongo then continuation for 6 hours visit of the big Tsingy. Unesco World Heritage Site, the Tsingy of Bemaraha is without doubt one of the most prestigious protected areas in Madagascar. The limestone massif is an ancient coral reef. At Bemaraha, erosion has created deep vertical cliffs, filled with faults and a deep fissure, which form a complex labyrinth of caves and rivers.

Breakfast, heading south, to get to the kirindy forest, this may be one of the most rewarding wildlife sites in Madagascar, but it has only recently received official conservation under the protected area in the Menabe region. Although previously exploited, kirindy remains the best place to see a number of endemic dry forest species like the giant jumping rat, narrow striped mongoose, Madame Berthe's mouse lemur, brown lemur in red front of Verreaux, red vanga, blue vanga, Madagascar beaked snake and plated lizard.
Arrival around two hours in the afternoon. Installation at hotel before night walk inside the forest.

Morning visit inside of Kirindy forest, Kirindy comprises some 10.000ha of deciduous forest growing on sandy soils of the western coastal plain. The tree species are similar to other western deciduous forests, with a canopy height typically of 12 -15m, reaching 20 -5m in more humid areas along watercourses. Beneath the canopy, throughout much of the forest, the understory and and intermediate layer are densely vegetated. Tree species of baobab live here are Adansonia rubrostipa, Adansonia Za and Adansonia grandidieri, the last being the largest of the baobabs, sometimes exceeding 30m in height. After the visit, back for lunch at hotel and then little breath before to take way for sunset at avenue of baobabs. .

This small village, located on the seafront and adjacent to Morondava, was thus renamed by pious Norwegian settlers in the 19th century. Arrival in Antananarivo, meeting and transfer to your hotel.
