Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

On day one of your safari to the Masai Mara National Reserve, you will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel, apartment or the airport at 7:00am.

Your three-day Masai Mara tour begins with a briefing from your professional driver-guide, who will then welcome you to your exclusive safari vehicle. Along the route, stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint before continuing to Narok Town for a short break, where you can do some last-minute shopping and use the bathroom facilities.

From there, you will proceed to the Masai Mara National Reserve and check in at the camp. After lunch and some time to relax, you will head out for an afternoon game drive, ending at around 6:30pm. You will then return to the camp for dinner and an overnight rest.

Masai Mara National Reserve

On the second day, you will start with an early breakfast and head into the reserve in search of wildlife and the elusive Big Five of the Masai Mara. By the time the sun gets hot, you will have covered a lot of ground, making it the ideal moment to enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site within the reserve.

After lunch, you will continue with wildlife viewing across the expansive reserve until around 4:30pm. You will then return to the camp for dinner and an overnight rest.

The Masai Mara is home to lions, giraffes, elephants, cheetahs, hippos, zebras, leopards, gazelles, hyenas, and many other species, along with a wide variety of birdlife.

Optional activities available at an additional cost include walking safaris with the Maasai, hot-air balloon safaris and both day and night game drives.

Masai Mara National Reserve and Return to Nairobi

On the third day, you will enjoy breakfast before departing on the road trip back to Nairobi. The approximate arrival time in Nairobi is 2:00pm.

You will be dropped off at the airport or your hotel, marking the end of your three-day safari in magical Kenya.
