Day 1
Arrive and Fly to Lalibela
Arrive and Fly to Lalibela
Fly to Lalibela and take the airport shuttle transfer to the Town (40minute) with our professional tour guide visit the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela. After check in your hotel you will drive to the site where we find a concentration of some of Ethiopians most famous Rock Hewn churches.
The Rock hewn churches that we will visit today before lunch will be the first group of churches included: Bete Medhanialem, Bete Mariam, Bete Meskel, BeteDenagl and Bete Gologota Michal. We will continue our journey in to Ethiopians long and marvelous past with a visit to other sent Lalibela Remarkable churches.
Bete Medhanialem, the largest monolithic Rock hewn churches of the world, Magers 37.7 ft. in Height, covers an area of almost 2625 Square ft. and has walls that are up to 6 feet thick. A plain building supported by 36 pillars on the inside and anther 38 pillars around the outside. Bete Medhanialem modeled on the original St. Merry Zion church build by king Ezana in 4th century at Axum.

Day 2
Visit Asheten Mariyam and the Second Group Church
Visit Asheten Mariyam and the Second Group Church
After breakfast Mule ride or walk on foot to the 11th Century Monastery of Asheton Mariam. This hike can take anywhere from 1.5 to 5 hours depending on your starting point. We will happily make the appropriate arrangements to limit/maximise your hiking time depending on your preferences. En route, visit Asheton Maryam, a church carved into the cliff face at an elevation of nearly 4,000m.
After lunch, proceed to visit the second group of the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela called North Eastern Group. The North Eastern Group, Bete Amanuel (possibly the former royal chapel), Bete Merkorios (which may be a former prison), Bete Abba Libanos and Bete Gabriel-Rufael (possibly a former royal palace). Finally, visit the most interesting cross-shaped church of Bete Giorgis (St. George), which isaid to be the symbolization of Noah’s ark. The cruciform-shaped Bete Giorgis is the perfect and beautiful church here; its interior dominated by depictions of Saint George killing the dragon.

Day 3
Visit Nakutolab and Fly Back to Addis Ababa
Visit Nakutolab and Fly Back to Addis Ababa
After an early breakfast, leave Lalibela en-route visit the monastery of Nakutolab a cave church. This is the easiest of all the outlying churches to reach in the monastery of Nakutolab, which named after its constructor, the nephew and successor of King Lalibela. The monastery accredited to Nakuotolab consists of a relatively simple church built around a shallow cave in which several holy pools feed by natural springs. After visiting you will get domestic flight takes us back to Addis Ababa.
In the evening, farewell party dinner invitation by Finot Tour Ethiopia with cultural dinner and traditional special buffet and local drinks to experience Ethiopia’s cultural meals and drinks. Here you will enjoy and experience several ethinicity dances. After farewell dinner party, we transfer you to Bole International Airport for international departure.
