Ndutu lies in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, bordering the southern Serengeti. It is best known for the Great Migration calving season (December–March), when hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebras gather on its nutrient-rich plains. The open landscape makes wildlife viewing excellent, especially for predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas hunting during the calving period.

Day 2
Full Time ndutu game drive

After breakfast, you’ll head out for a full-day game drive in the Ndutu area, exploring its open plains and woodlands where the Great Migration herds often gather, especially during the calving season. The day offers excellent opportunities to spot predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas in action, as well as other resident wildlife. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your safari through different parts of Ndutu, returning to Moyo tented lodge in the evening.

Day 3
Ndutu to Central Serengeti
Ndutu to Central Serengeti
After breakfast, enjoy a game drive in Ndutu as you make your way toward the Central Serengeti. The journey takes you through changing landscapes, from the open plains of Ndutu to the rolling savannahs and kopjes of the Seronera area. Along the way, you’ll have opportunities to spot migrating herds (seasonal), predators, and a variety of wildlife before arriving at your lodge in Central Serengeti for dinner and overnight.

Day 4
Full Central Serengeti Game drive

After breakfast, spend a full day exploring the Central Serengeti, especially the Seronera region, which is rich in year-round wildlife. Game drives take you across its open plains, river valleys, and iconic granite kopjes, offering excellent chances to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, and large herds of herbivores. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your safari through different areas, returning to your lodge in the evening.

Day 5
Central Serengeti then transfer to JRO
Central Serengeti then transfer to JRO
After an early morning game drive in the Central Serengeti, enjoying the last chance to spot wildlife in the Seronera area, you will return to the lodge for breakfast (or take a packed breakfast). Afterwards, you’ll transfer to the airstrip for your flight or begin the scenic drive back to Arusha/Kilimanjaro (JRO).
