Drive from Addis Ababa to Lake Langano

Upon arrival in Addis Ababa, you will be met at the airport or your hotel. Begin your journey with a game drive and birdwatching stop at Lake Ziway, home to species like saddle-billed storks, greater jacanas, African fish eagles, darters, herons, and wood hoopoes. Enjoy lunch in Ziway before continuing to Lake Langano, the Rift Valley’s only lake suitable for swimming. Relax and enjoy leisure time at your lodge, followed by dinner and overnight stay.

Abijatta–Shalla Exploration – Addis Ababa

After breakfast, explore Abijatta-Shalla National Park, covering 887 sq. km and including the alkaline lakes Abijatta and Shalla. The park features open grasslands, dry savannas, and acacia-dominated shrublands, home to wildlife such as Grant’s gazelles, common warthogs, and over 300 bird species, including resident, endemic, and migratory birds. Common and Somali ostriches are frequently seen during breeding season. After the tour, drive back to Addis Ababa for your departure.
