Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your safari adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. After a briefing from your expert guide, you'll embark on a scenic drive towards Tarangire National Park.
As you enter the park, the landscape transforms into a classic African scene: vast golden grasslands dotted with ancient, towering baobab trees and the life-giving Tarangire River. This park is famously known as the "Land of Giants" for its massive elephant herds—some of the largest in Tanzania—that you will see gathering, socializing, and mud-bathing along the riverbanks.
Your game drive will take you through diverse habitats where you can spot:
- Iconic herds of elephants and buffalo.
- Towers of giraffes, impalas, waterbucks, and over 550 species of birds.
- The Silale Swamp, a magnet for wildlife, especially during the dry season.
After an exhilarating day, you’ll exit the park and take a short drive to the coffee plantation highlands of Karatu.

Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, you depart for one of the most spectacular natural wonders on Earth: the Ngorongoro Crater. A steep, scenic descent road brings you down the walls of this UNESCO World Heritage Site and into the world's largest intact volcanic caldera.
The crater floor is a self-contained ecosystem, often described as a "Garden of Eden" due to its breathtaking beauty and incredibly high concentration of wildlife. Here, you have an excellent chance of seeing the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, leopard) in a single day.
Highlights of your full-day crater adventure include:
- The endangered black rhino, one of the crater’s most precious residents.
- Large prides of lions and spotted hyenas,
- Hippos wallowing in the Lerai Forest pools.
- Thousands of flamingos painting the shores of Lake Magadi pink.
- Enjoy a unique picnic lunch alongside hippos at the designated picnic site.

Day 3

Lake Manyara to Arusha

Lake Manyara to Arusha

Enjoy a final breakfast at the lodge before a short drive to your final destination: Lake Manyara National Park. This compact but stunning park is famously known for its tree-climbing lions (though they are more elusive here than in Tarangire) and its vast alkaline lake that hosts thousands of flamingos and other waterbirds.
Your morning game drive explores the varied landscapes:
- The groundwater forest with its mahogany and fig trees, alive with blue monkeys and tropical birdlife.
- The open floodplains where you might see large herds of buffalo, wildebeest, and zebra.
- The lakeshore itself, a spectacular scene for birdwatchers.
While the tree-climbing lions are a legendary highlight, the park's true beauty lies in its incredible biodiversity packed into a small area. After your game drive, you will exit the park and begin the journey back to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, filled with unforgettable memories of the Tanzanian wilderness.
