Game Drives in Tarangire National Park

You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Zanzibar early in the morning and transferred to the airport for your flight to Arusha. Upon arrival, your driver will meet you and take you to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive.

Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant population and diverse wildlife, including zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, waterbucks, baboons, and impalas. Predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards also roam the park. Its swamps attract numerous bird species like green wood hoopoes, lovebirds, tallish herons, white-bellied go-away birds, and giant kingfishers. On drier ground, you might spot kori bustards and ostriches, the heaviest flying birds.

After the game drive, you’ll be transferred to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drives Then Fly to Zanzibar

You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive in one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife destinations. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979, the crater is one of the few places where humans and wildlife coexist in harmony.

An optional visit to a Maasai village in the Ngorongoro Highlands offers a chance to meet local elders, warriors, women, and children, and learn about the culture and traditions of Tanzania’s last nomadic community.

Ngorongoro is renowned for exceptional wildlife viewing, supported by a permanent water source on the crater floor. Expect to spot endangered black rhinos, wildebeests, buffaloes, zebras, elands, gazelles, giant-tusked elephants, and predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, and possibly wild dogs.

After the game drive, you'll be transferred to the airport for your return flight to Zanzibar.
