Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park

You will arrive at Seronera Airstrip at approximately 11:00 AM, where your safari guide will be waiting to welcome you with a packed picnic lunch and ready for the adventure ahead. Your safari begins immediately, with a game drive through the central Serengeti. Around 1:00 PM, you'll pause for a scenic picnic lunch before continuing your afternoon game drive in search of the Serengeti’s famed big cats and abundant herbivores. As the sun begins to set, you'll head to your accommodation for the night the luxurious Serengeti Explorer Lodge where dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay.

After breakfast at the camp, you'll set off on a full-day game drive through the Serengeti a landscape of breathtaking beauty and endless horizons. While the park features forests, seasonal floodplains, and savannahs, it is the sweeping grassy plains that define the Serengeti experience. Being surrounded by thousands sometimes millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles is nothing short of awe-inspiring. During the Great Migration, these herds thunder across the plains and brave crocodile-filled rivers, all while predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas stalk them in an endless battle for survival.

You'll stop for a scenic picnic lunch right on the Serengeti plains before continuing your afternoon game drive. As the sun begins to dip below the horizon, you'll return to camp to unwind beside a crackling bushfire. Your overnight stay will be at the Serengeti Explorer Lodge, offering a perfect blend of comfort and wilderness.

After breakfast, you'll continue your exploration of the Serengeti. Today, you have the flexibility to choose between a full-day game drive or dividing your safari into two sessions an early morning and a late afternoon drive. Taking a break in the afternoon allows time to relax at the lodge, while a full-day drive offers the best chance to see a wide variety of wildlife across different areas and times of day. For those eager to maximize sightings, we recommend staying out for the entire day.

Serengeti National Park to Zanzibar

After an early breakfast, you’ll bid farewell to the camp, check out, and embark on your final game drive in the Serengeti. This last safari offers a chance to soak in the sights and sounds of the wild one more time before your journey continues. Later in the morning, you’ll head to Seronera Airstrip for your mid-morning flight from the Serengeti to Zanzibar.
