From here, the road stretches out across the vast open expanse of the Serengeti, a name derived from the Maasai word “Siringet,” meaning “endless plains.”
Home to over 2 million wildebeest, as well as countless zebras, gazelles, and other species, the Serengeti is a true wildlife haven. Between January and April, this region transforms into a nursery as wildebeest, zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles give birth, attracting an impressive number of predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, all drawn by the abundance of vulnerable young prey.
After an exhilarating day of game viewing, you’ll return to camp to unwind, enjoy a freshly prepared dinner, and spend the night surrounded by the tranquil sounds of the Serengeti.
