Fly from Mombasa to Masai Mara

Board your flight at Moi International Airport (Mombasa) for a scenic 2.5-hour flight to the world-renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival, your driver-guide will be waiting to take you to your camp. Enjoy an en-route game drive, with beautiful scenery as you travel to your accommodation.

The Maasai Mara is famous for its high concentration of big cats and the annual Great Migration of millions of wildebeest and zebras. After arriving at your camp and checking in, you'll have time for lunch and a short rest before heading out on a fascinating afternoon game drive. This is your chance to spot spectacular predators like lions, cheetahs, and the more elusive leopards. It's one of the few places in Africa where you are guaranteed to spot the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo) on a single game drive.

Conclude your day with a delicious dinner and overnight at your camp or lodge, surrounded by the sounds of the African bush.

In the afternoon, you will head out to explore Lake Nakuru, a vital sanctuary that serves as a highlight of your safari. While the park is a birdwatcher's paradise with over 350 recorded species, its primary significance lies in its role as a sanctuary for endangered black and white rhinoceros. This is one of the few places in Kenya where you're almost guaranteed to spot these magnificent and rare animals. The park protects a variety of other iconic species.
