Day 2

You will be picked up from the lodge and begin a scenic journey to Tarangire National Park, with lunch boxes provided for the day. After the game drive, we’ll head to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds and diverse landscapes, ranging from seasonal swamps to open savannah, with the Tarangire River winding gracefully through the park. Rise early and enjoy breakfast before setting off for the Northern Serengeti, near the Mara River, where the great migration occurs. Our experienced safari guide will take you to the best vantage points to witness this spectacular event.

The great migration is the largest land animal migration on Earth. It features massive herds of wildebeests, zebras, and other animals as they cross the crocodile-infested Mara River on their journey to the Masai Mara in Kenya. The best time to witness this extraordinary natural phenomenon is from July to early October each year.

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast before continuing with a game drive in the Northern Serengeti, keeping a special focus on the great migration. Later in the day, we will drive back to Central Serengeti, where you will spend the night.

The great migration is the largest land-based animal movement on the planet, featuring vast herds of wildebeests, zebras, and other species as they cross the crocodile-filled Mara River on their way to the Masai Mara in Kenya. Earlier, you will have explored the Central Serengeti, renowned for the Seronera Valley, where rivers attract abundant wildlife year-round. This area offers excellent opportunities to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. The combination of open plains and acacia-dotted landscapes provides some of the best game-viewing in Africa, making the Central Serengeti the heart of the park.

After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Manyara National Park with packed lunch boxes for a day of game drives. After the game drive, we will transfer you to the Arusha town Clocktower for an overnight stay.

Lake Manyara is renowned for its tree-climbing lions, often seen resting among the branches, and its large troops of baboons that inhabit the forest and may accompany you along the road as soon as you enter the park.

After breakfast, enjoy some time to relax at the lodge. If time permits, you may take a short shopping trip to Arusha before being transferred to either Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure. Earlier in your safari, you will have visited Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its stunning landscapes and diverse wildlife. The park is home to tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, hippos, baboons, and over 400 species of birds, including flamingos that gather along the lakeshore. With its mix of acacia woodland, dense forest, and the soda lake, Lake Manyara offers unique game-viewing experiences in a compact area, making it one of Tanzania’s most picturesque and wildlife-rich parks.
