Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be warmly welcomed by your driver-guide and transferred to your mid-range hotel in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the hotel or explore the vibrant town of Arusha. A detailed safari briefing will also be provided to prepare you for the adventure ahead.

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its majestic baobab trees, vast savannahs, and impressive elephant herds. Enjoy a full-day game drive, including a scenic picnic lunch within the park. Keep an eye out for lions, leopards, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, and over 500 bird species, making Tarangire a paradise for wildlife and bird enthusiasts. In the late afternoon, drive to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha / Departure

After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife areas. The crater floor is home to nearly all of Africa’s Big Five, including the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a game drive across the diverse landscapes of grasslands, forests, and lakeshores, where lions, elephants, hippos, flamingos, and many other species thrive. After a picnic lunch by the hippo pool, ascend from the crater and drive back to Arusha or transfer directly to the airport for your onward journey.
