Day 1

The journey begins with drive from Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park, covering approximately 230 Km and taking about 6–7 hours by road. As you arrive you'll check in at your accommodation and take some time to rest. You'll enjoy a delicious dinner at the camp before heading out for a sunset boat safari along the Rufiji River. This river is the heart of the park and offers a spectacular chance to observe hippos, crocodiles, elephants where they usually comes to drink, and abundant birds species including the majestic African Fish eagle, in their natural setting, all while enjoying the golden colors of the African sunset. The boat safari is both relaxing and thrilling, setting the tone for the adventure ahead.

Day 2
Full guided game drive in Nyerere NP

Soon after breakfast, we willl head out for a full-day guided game drive inside Nyerere National Park, one of the largest and wildest protected area in Africa. Covering over 30,000 square kilometers, the park is home to diverse species including open grasslands, woodlands, wetlands, and forests. You’ll have the chance to spot elephants, lions, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, wild dogs, and countless birds species. Your experienced guide will navigate you through different ecological zones while sharing depth knowledge of the wildlife and natural history of the area. A bush lunch will be served at picnic spot, allowing you to stay immersed in nature throughout the day.

Day 3
Drive from Nyerere NP to Mikumi NP
Drive from Nyerere NP to Mikumi NP
The day will began with an early morning guided walking safari led by an armed ranger, a unique and yet an intimate way to explore the African bush on foot. Learn about animal tracks, bird calls, and the medicical uses of local herbs. After breakfast the transfer will commence from Nyerere to Mikumi NP a journey of approximately 260km that takes about 6–7 hours. Upon arrival, you'll check in at the Camp Bastian, a beautifully designed eco-lodge situated at the edge of Mikumi NP. You'll enjoy a delicious dinner at the camp. In the afternoon, visit a nearby Maasai Village where you will be welcomed with traditional dances and get a chance to learn about Maasai culture, lifestyle, and traditions. This cultural experience offers great insights into one of Tanzania’s most iconic communities. Later in the evening, you'll return to the camp for an overnight stay while waiting for the next hiking safari ahead.

Day 4

Soon after breakfast, we'll drive from Mikumi to Udzungwa Mountains National Park, which is just 65 km away (about a 1.5-hour drive). Known as the “Galápagos of Africa, ” Udzungwa is a biodiversity spot famous for its tropical rain forest, monkey species like the Iringa red colobus and Sanje crested mangabey, and its waterfalls where by you will enjoy a guided hike to Sanje Waterfalls, a 3–4-hour trek through lush forest that rewards you with a great views and the chance to swim beneath the falls. After the hike, you'll return to Mikumi town for a quick refresh before being transferred to Jakaya railway Station for your comfortable train ride back to Dar es Salaam, arriving in the evening. Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, you will meet with the office representative, who will drop you off at your hotel or transfer you to the airport for your next journey back home.
