Today you will drive to Southern Serengeti (Ndutu area where the migration should partly be) in Ngorongoro, this is for those who are going for Safari from December to March and for those are coming on Novermber we drive to the next side of Serengeti at Lobo area.

The endless plains of Serengeti are also the setting for the world’s greatest wildlife spectacle the 1.5 million wildebeest endless migration in search for fresh pastures Each year this huge herd of wildebeest (along with over 200,000 zebra and gazelle) migrate in a clockwise direction around the Southern Serengeti and Ndutu area, up to the Masai Mara and then back down to the Serengeti to have their young (over 8000 wildebeest are born a day between Feb and mid-March). Each year they trek over 2,500km and are constantly threatened and followed by some of Africa’s greatest predators.

Full day Great Migration from Central to Southern Serengeti

After breakfast you will set off on a full day game drive in the wilderness following the Great Migration trails from Central to Southern. Our experienced driver tour guide will provide you with interesting facts about this highly renowned event, which makes Tanzania the top safari destination in Africa. You will drive to the north of the Serengeti where the great migration crossing to Kenya via Mara River here you will enjoy a full day exploring the Serengeti. In these summer months, this is where we’ll find the greatest concentration of herd animals, as the world’s biggest animal movement reaches the Mara River. Of course, Nature and rainfall determine the exact route and timings of the animals movement so our daily schedule will be adjusted if necessary to ensure that we see the animals at their very best at their most numerous and later at late noon you will drive to you lodge for overnight.

After an early breakfast, meet your driver guide and begin your day with an exciting early morning game drive in a 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser. This is the perfect time to observe Africa’s wildlife at its most active, before the heat of the day sets in. Spend approximately 3 to 4 hours exploring the heart of the Central Serengeti, where you'll witness the rich biodiversity and raw beauty of the savannah with your picked hot lunch and a short rest. After lunch, begin a scenic game drive enroute as you make your way toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing through the Naabi Hill Gate, which offers panoramic views and photo opportunities.
Enjoy the ever-changing landscapes and the possibility of encountering more wildlife as you transition from the vast Serengeti plains to the lush highlands of Ngorongoro while you’re driving towards to Arusha via Loduare gate at Ngorongoro to Arusha.
