Day 1

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, you’ll set off from Arusha toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Though the drive is long, the journey itself is breathtaking. You'll ascend through the Crater Highlands and pause briefly at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater for a truly unforgettable view an awe-inspiring sight, especially for first-time visitors.

As you venture deeper into the Serengeti, it becomes clear why its name translates to "endless plains" in the local language. Spanning 6,900 square miles (18,000 square kilometers), the vast open landscapes stretch endlessly toward the horizon, challenging your sense of distance and scale. This iconic park is home to the Great Migration, where around 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and a wide variety of antelope species including impalas and Thomson’s gazelles move across the land.

Ngorongoro Crater

We’ll begin the day bright and early with a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable morning of wildlife viewing in one of the most spectacular natural settings on Earth. After an exciting game drive across the crater floor, we’ll pause for a scenic picnic lunch near the serene Hippo Lake an ideal spot to relax and soak in the surroundings.

Following lunch, there will be time for a final short game drive before we ascend the crater walls and make our way out of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, heading back toward Arusha. We aim to arrive around 5:00 PM, but we're flexible and happy to adjust the timing if you have a flight to catch or other plans.
