Early in the morning, you will take your flight from Zanzibar Airport to Arusha Airport. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by your Ndoto Kubwa guide. After a short safari briefing, we depart for Tarangire National Park (approx. 120 km, 2 hrs drive), famous for its giant baobab trees, vast elephant herds, and rich wildlife diversity. You will enjoy a full day of thrilling game drives and exploration inside the park with a picnic lunch served in the wilderness. In the late afternoon, we ascend the scenic Rift Valley escarpment wall and continue our journey to Karatu town (approx. 80 km, 1 hrs drive), where you will check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, we depart from Karatu and drive to Lake Manyara National Park (approx. 30 km, 45 minutes drive), a lush park nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park is renowned for its tree-climbing lions, diverse birdlife, and breathtaking landscapes ranging from groundwater forests to alkaline lakeshores. You will enjoy game drives and exploration with a picnic lunch inside the park. In the afternoon, we continue to Mto wa Mbu (approx. 10 km, 5 minutes drive) for a cultural exploration where you will walk through local farms, interact with the community, and taste their authentic local cuisine. Later in the evening, we drive back to Karatu town (approx. 20 km, 30 minutes drive) for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 3

Central Serengeti

Early in the morning after breakfast, we depart from Karatu and drive towards the world-famous Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you will enjoy stunning views of the crater highlands before descending onto the endless plains of Serengeti. The drive covers approximately 250 km (6–7 hours including game en route) with plenty of opportunities for wildlife sightings as we enter the park. You will enjoy a full game drive en route to your special tented camp located in the heart of the Serengeti. Upon arrival, settle in and take time to relax as you soak up the atmosphere of the wilderness. Dinner and overnight will be served at your camp under the starry African sky.

Before sunrise, we set out early for a morning game drive — one of the best times to spot predators in action as lions, leopards, and cheetahs take advantage of the cool morning hours to hunt. The golden light of dawn over the Serengeti plains also offers breathtaking scenery and photography opportunities. After this thrilling experience, we return to camp for a late breakfast before continuing with more exploration across the park. Carrying our packed lunch, we enjoy a full day of game drives, moving between different habitats such as riverine forests, acacia woodlands, and open savannah, where elephants, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, and countless bird species roam freely. In the late afternoon, we continue our drive until evening before returning to camp for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay amidst the sounds of the African wilderness.

After an early breakfast, we depart from the Serengeti and drive towards the majestic Ngorongoro Crater (approx. 145 km, 3–4 hours including game en route). Upon arrival, we descend into the caldera — the world’s largest unbroken volcanic crater — for a spectacular game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is often referred to as the "Eighth Wonder of the World" and is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalos, black rhinos, and countless wildebeest and zebras. You will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor while surrounded by breathtaking views. In the afternoon, we ascend the crater walls and begin our journey back to Arusha (approx. 190 km, 4–5 hours), where you will be transferred to the airport to catch your local flight back to Zanzibar, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzanian safari with Ndoto Kubwa Tours.
