Dar Es Salaam – Saadani National Park

Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel, residence, or the airport in Dar es Salaam. After a short briefing, depart by road to Saadani National Park, enjoying scenic views of the Tanzanian countryside and coastal settlements along the way.

Arrive at Saadani in time for lunch at the camp. After some relaxation, embark on an afternoon game drive through the park's diverse habitats, which include open grasslands, acacia woodlands, coastal thickets, and riverine areas.
Keep your camera ready as you search for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, waterbucks, wildebeests, warthogs, hartebeests, and numerous bird species. With a bit of luck, you may also spot lions or other predators.

Return to the camp in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Full Game Drive & Wami River Boat Safari

After breakfast, set out for a full day exploring the rich wildlife of Saadani National Park. Spend the morning on extensive game drives across different sections of the park, maximizing your chances of spotting a wide variety of animals and birds.

Enjoy a picnic or lodge lunch before continuing with a memorable boat safari along the Wami River. The river excursion offers a completely different perspective of the park, providing excellent opportunities to observe large pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles, and an abundance of water birds, including kingfishers, fish eagles, herons, and bee-eaters.

The tranquil boat cruise also offers stunning photographic opportunities as wildlife gathers along the riverbanks.
After the boat safari, return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Walking Safari – Return to Dar Es Salaam

Rise early for an exciting guided walking safari accompanied by an armed park ranger. Exploring the wilderness on foot provides a completely different safari experience, allowing you to appreciate the smaller details of the ecosystem, learn about animal tracks, plants, and birdlife, and experience the African bush up close.
Following the walking safari, return to the camp for breakfast and check out.

Later, begin your drive back to Dar es Salaam, arriving in the afternoon where you will be dropped off at your hotel, residence, or the airport.
