Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and after clearing immigration, you will be warmly welcomed by our driver-guide. After introductions and a short briefing, begin your journey to the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve. Drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley with a stop in Narok Town for refreshments. As you near the Mara, enjoy a game drive en route to camp. Keep your camera ready, this stretch offers views of impalas, giraffes, and possibly elephants. The golden light is perfect for photography.

At Loyk Mara Camp, you receive a warm welcome and settle into your tented room before enjoying a delicious lunch with breathtaking views. In the afternoon, head out for your first full game drive. This is your first real taste of the Mara’s magic, ideal for capturing its wild beauty as the sun sets. Return to camp for a hot shower, gourmet dinner, and time by the campfire under the stars. You will spend the night at Loyk Mara Camp.

Full Game Drives & Photography in Masai Mara National Reserve

Rise early for a full-day game drive in the Masai Mara, designed for wildlife photography. Depart camp before sunrise to catch the golden morning light, perfect for photographing lions, cheetahs, and other predators at their most active. Capture stunning scenes of giraffes, elephants, and zebras moving through the savannah. Enjoy a packed bush breakfast in a scenic spot, then continue exploring the park's rich landscapes, from open plains to riverbanks. Stop for a picnic lunch under the shade of an acacia tree while reviewing your morning shots.

In the afternoon, return to areas known for big cat sightings or active herds. As the golden hour sets in, take advantage of the soft, warm light for breathtaking shots of silhouettes of giraffes, dusty elephants, and wide savannah views. Return to camp by sunset, unwind with a hot shower, followed by a hearty dinner and time around the campfire, sharing stories and reviewing the day’s photography. You will spend the night at Loyk Mara Camp.

Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

Everything that has a beginning must also have an end. After breakfast, you will check out of the camp and drive to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international flight. With an incredible experience and loads of memories to cherish, it’s now time to bid each other goodbye.
