At 8:00 am, you will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport and commence the drive to the Masai Mara. The Mara is the most popular tourism destination in Kenya, located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. Wildlife is mostly concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. It's regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas.

Full Game Drive in Masai Mara National Reserve
You'll have an early breakfast at 6:30 am. You'll depart for a full day of wildlife viewing. This is the most important day since we are hoping to see the Big Five, especially the big cats, which are extremely elusive. Also, you will visit the famous Mara River where the great migration happens, have a guided tour by the rangers to see the Nile crocodiles and hippo families, and just to top it off, have a picnic lunch under a tree in the park overlooking the vast landscapes.
It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the great migration. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savannah —lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures.
