Day 3-4
Ndutu Area
Ndutu Area
After a hearty breakfast, we set out for a full-day game drive in the Ndutu region, exploring its diverse habitats of swamps, woodland, soda lakes, and the iconic Serengeti short grass plains. This area offers the incredible sight of vast herds of wildebeest and zebras, especially during the calving season. Around January, in just a few weeks, nearly half a million wildebeest calves are born in a remarkable display of synchronized birthing. The open plains provide little cover, and predators are never far, but the calves adapt quickly—able to run within minutes and strong enough to keep up with the herd in just a few days. This natural spectacle is one of the most unforgettable highlights of the Great Migration. After an exhilarating day in the wilderness, we return to Ndutu Heritage Camp for dinner and overnight rest.
