After an early breakfast at your hotel, your safari guide will brief you about the adventure ahead. You will then depart Kampala via the Masaka–Mbarara highway, enjoying the rolling landscapes, banana plantations, and roadside markets. A memorable stop will be made at the Uganda Equator for photographs and a quick coffee break. Lunch will be served in Mbarara at the Igongo Cultural Centre, offering both cultural insight and delicious local cuisine.
The journey continues through scenic highlands and terraced hills before reaching Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Upon arrival, check into your lodge, relax, and enjoy dinner surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest. Overnight stay at your selected lodge.

Day 2

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi & Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing from ranger guides about the trekking rules and safety. The trek begins through thick forest vegetation, following trails until you encounter a gorilla family. Tracking may take between 2 to 8 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements. Once found, you will spend one magical hour observing their behaviors and taking photographs. This close encounter is a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife experience.
After receiving your trekking certificate, return to the lodge for lunch and freshening up. Later, check out and drive to Lake Mburo National Park, passing through stunning landscapes and local villages. On arrival, enjoy evening views of the lake, famous for over 315 bird species and acacia woodland birds. Dinner and overnight at a safari lodge in Lake Mburo.

Wake up to an early breakfast before setting out on a 2-hour boat ride on Lake Mburo. The cruise offers sightings of hippos, crocodiles, water birds, and even wildlife drinking along the shores. After the boat trip, embark on a rewarding game drive across the park’s savanna plains. Look out for zebras, giraffes, elands, impalas, warthogs, and bird species pointed out by your knowledgeable guide.
Later, enjoy lunch and prepare for your return journey to Kampala. The drive takes about 5 hours, marking the end of your unforgettable 3-day Bwindi and Lake Mburo safari adventure.
